Leah Noble hired as new Executive Director of Pan Cape Breton Food Hub Cooperative

The Pan Cape Breton Food Hub Cooperative Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Leah Noble has been hired as the new Executive Director of the operation, effective Monday, July 22, 2024.
“Leah comes to us with a wealth of experience and a deep passion for our mission and she will be a valuable addition to our team!” said Alix Redden, Co-Chair of the Board of Directors. Noble is well-known and highly regarded within our community, with a background in employment counselling and training through the Northside Employment and Resource Centre most recently, as well as extensive experience in writing and graphic design. She is also the current Chair of the Board of ACAP Cape Breton.
“Leah’s experience spans a variety of roles in community and non-profit organizations, as well as significant volunteer work, all of which have honed her skills in relationship building, non-profit management, collaboration and accountability,” said Katie MacLeod, Co-Chair of the Board.
The mission of the Pan Cape Breton Food Hub is to provide a distribution linkage between local food producers and consumers, creating a more sustainable food system by increasing the viability of local producers while improving access to high-quality local food.
“As a longtime member and consumer of the Food Hub, I have a deep commitment to local food, and to building our community through the work of the Food Hub,” said Noble. “I am honoured to accept this important challenge to continue to grow the Food Hub, creating more value for producer members and more local food options for local consumers on Cape Breton Island!”
